I recently wrote a post about the Ki-51 Sonia models I have recently completed as my opening salvo of 'Aircraft Month'. The same F-Toys set contained some Ki-27 'Nate' fighters, and I have now finished three of them. The Nate was in widespread use by the Japanese Army from the mid-1930s well into what we in the west regard as WW2. In terms of appearance, think of a subtle blend of I-16, MC-200 and Fokker D.XXI.
The photo above shows one of my Ki-27s in flight over the modelling table (it hasn't made it to the wargames table as yet!).
Below we see all three on an airfield somewhere in Manchuria. Or South Yorkshire.
The camo-painted Nate in flight.
A Ki-27 of the 2nd Sentai over the same much-photographed rocky hill.

Nice Nips!
Thanks Bill - they are delightful little models as the photos suggest, and being part completed when you open the box, very rewarding to build!

So nice that even I couldn't mess them up!
