More Brits for North Africa

I recently finished a second batch of 1/32 Brits for WW2 games in N.Africa. Like the first they are a mix of ancient Airfix, Matchbox and Timpo plastics. I’ve daubed them in my usual ‘toy soldier’ style, topped off with a coat of Ronseal light oak satin varnish.
Senior officers look on in despair.
The earlier batch can be seen in action near Sollum here.

They look very good - the varnish works really well. I particularly like the guys cleaning the floor with mops. I see myself passing over to the darkside of 1/32 gaming very soon!

Mops?

I love the finish you get here with the Ronseal ...doing exactly what it says on the tin perhaps.

...and I'm sure after checking for mines, the chaps will be mopping the battlefield.

Best to give in gracefully. You will be assimilated!

No one likes a dusty minefield.

Most of the print on the tin refers to protecting interior wood - not outdoor plastic!

Yes ...but I'm sure there's something in the small print about being suitable for finishing 8th army bods ...there has to be?

Fine figures, much pirated and cloned. You can still buy China copies in toy Soldier buckets.

Well none of them have woodworm as yet, so I guess it’s working!

The copies I’ve seen are rather stunted - about 45mm. The originals are still the best!
