Flying Flatiron - part 1

For my first kit of 2023 I dug this out for a game I have in mind.  I believe it’s an incarnation of the old (1975) FROG kit

Not too many parts - phew!
Look at the thickness of that plastic!
The tooling clearly isn’t in its first flush of youth, so a LOT of tape is required to hold it together while the glue dries.

I am looking forward to watching the progress (although I know you assemble planes fairly quickly). I am quite nervous about assembling my first plane after many, many, years since I did my last. Already noted - use tape to hold parts together while the glue dries!

That is too cool! I very much look forward to seeing it finished (and in action).

A great looking model Tim, they don't make them like that anymore! I look forward to your finished product!

If you expect a modelling masterclass - look away now! On the other hand, if you're happy with some quick bodging to get an ancient kit ready for a game, stay tuned.

All being well it should take to the 'skies' in late February.

The Jav is certainly a striking looking machine - I hope I do this one justice.
