A few Far East Brits

In preparation for a couple of games I have in mind, I have been daubing some more 6mm toys.  First up are these Brits - destined (little do they know) for the Far East.  The 6-pounder AT guns and Chevrolet trucks are GHQ models.
For those readers less familiar with this scale, the bases are 40x30mm.  So quite small then.
The Bedford fuel tanker below is a C in C model cast in three parts.

Tim, I assume the green squares on the base are to hold unit identification?

Sometimes yes. They are magnetic squares so can be used to hold Strength Point counters in Megeblitz games.

An age old story, the army never lets Tommy know exactly where he is being shipped. The longer the delay in supplying the destination, the worse the hell hole will be on arrival.

I think Tommy might be getting the message by now. He is currently sharing a board with rather a lot of 6mm Japs while their varnish dries....

Quite coincidentally I have finished a kit bashed Stuart for my Far East chaps this week.

The Chev's look great and who can do without a water tanker in the Irrawaddy?

Classy work Tim

I hope you aren't shipping them to Hong Kong for Christmas! Last time, that didn't work out so good.

Painting 6mm knees. There's a challenge :O) ... or are you doing late war?

They are lovely little vehicles: GHQ has "grown on me" a bit recently. Good job painting them, and an interesting way of checking unit strength, someone on a forum was asking about keeping track of hits for 6mm, I hadn't thought of magnets.

Thanks - the oil wash and drybrush was very rewarding on these models

Not a term one would normally apply to AT guns, but I know what you mean!

The knees are all finely detailed - but sadly the resolution of the photos may not make this clear....

It says much for the quality of the models if even I can make them look good!
