The IAC acquired several Magisters from their native France in the mid-1970s and they served until 1998. Bertrand - for whom this model is destined - has an idea for a game and having quizzed me about Panhard armoured cars and Wessex helicopters the talk moved on to (relatively) fast air.

You know depending on when you set the game, your Brits could do double duty as Irish defence forces.
That has turned out very nice Tim. Other than a brief appearance in the Congo I know nothing of the Irish military after 1921....

Always expect the unexpected! The Irish infantry will probably be bodged using Airfix Brit WW2 Paras.

Add some blue berets to some matchbox NATO paratroopers and you have exactly the right uniform for UNFIL in Lebanon. They faced off against Falange militias and had some run ins with Israelis. A lot of static positions and artillery with very strict rules of engagement.
