Konigsberg

Another gem from Wg Cdr Luddite now.  SMS Konigsberg is a 1/2400 model by C in C.  It shows the ship as she appeared on 1940.
As the photo clearly shows, the model is lacking in detail and poorly painted.  On no, hang on - that's my ship models I'm thinking of!
I shall tell the Wg Cdr to keep 'em coming.

Hi Tim,

I see the Wg. Cdr is in fine fettle - Konigsberg looks really nice and just right for some Fleet Air Arm bombing practice....;-)

All the best,

DC

Yes please more! A fine looking vessel.

You're stalling! No ads for other navies, we want the exciting conclusion, brusied knees and all.

Hi Tim,

I should also point out that SMS Konigsberg at this point in time was either underwater in the Rufiji Delta or possibly scuttled and later scrapped at Scapa Flow.

Just my anorak 2p worth....;-)

I'm sure your anorak will keep you nice and warm this winter. The KM Konigsberg completed on 17/04/1929 and was sunk by RN Skuas on 10/04/1940.

Is the tension getting to you?

KMS Königsberg is indeed wearing the colours she was sunk in by 800 and 803 NAS in April 1940.

Those yellow turret tops must have been really useful aiming points for the Skua pilots.
