Japanese Divisional Artillery

I recently finished these to accompany the infantry figures mentioned the other day.  These stands will represent the divisional artillery.
Type 98 Infantry Gun by Platoon 20, with crew by unknown makers.
Type 98 20mm AA gun from Irregular's 'Really Useful Guns' range.  I think the NCO figure is by Lancashire Games.

Speaking as a retired artilleryman, I'm somewhat underwhelmed...I trust the Megablitz rules make these somewhat effective? Nice paint jobs as always Tim

That's a nice collection addition Tim.

I expect that's why the Japanese never got anywhere then...
Jap divisional artillery is suitably weak in Megablitz - short ranged and low in strength points, but pretty good if the enemy doesn't have any!

Thanks. Like the infantry seen earlier I've had these 'maturing' in a box for some years now.

The second smallest calibre divisional artillery stand I have!

Nice stands and rather weak projection of the gods of war.

Poor blighters!

True - but much easier to lug through the jungle than a 25-pounder!

Well the Japanese and the Italians both went into WWII with armies optimized for colonial occupation
not fighting a first world enemy.

True enough. Has Don got issues with size then?

OK - if you say so. Can we look forward to a post about the 'big toys' you have played with?
