Tatty twin Tigers - part 2

Here are the completed Tigers, resplendent in my version of the rather glamorous ‘ambush’ camouflage scheme. The challenge now will be to concoct a game which justifies their use!

You've done a very nice job on these Tigers- well done Tim.

Thanks Kev. Not having attempted ambush camo since the mid-1990s (and then in 1/72) I’m rather happy with them.

Terrific tatty Tigers Tim!

Maybe you can do a convoy ambush scenario. German armor and anti-air vs some Allied fighter bombers. Then that could lead to an Allied armor attack with less numbers than the Germans. Just a thought for a scenario.

Very smart Tim- will need some pretty heavy duty opposition for them though.

Cheers,

Pete.

Very nice Tim. As you know, I delight in finding scenarios which feature Tigers.

Obvious actions for those bad boys would be Cagny during Op Goodwood, poling around in Oosterbeek or outside Elst, rolling over the Prumenberg during the Bulge and of course flinging themselves at the Sandomierz bridgehead. I did come across one entertaining battle in Normandy where a platoon of Tiger2 supported a battalion from 16th LFD.

Tigers in Combat by Schneider is packed with examples, although he is hilariously snooty.

There's clearly a lot of love for these models - I'll try to get them into action soon.

I was thinking just you, alone in a foxhole and armed with an AT Rifle...

I'll see what I can do!

I'm sure they will. While the petrol lasts...

What is heavy: me or the 14.5mm calibre of the ATR?

Cheers,

Pete.

Depends what scale the ATR is......
