Going through the Mill

I have a load of photos from a trip to the Netherlands last September - here are the first of them.  The small town of Mill lies a few km south of Nijmegen and was the scene of a 2-day battle in 1940
This pillbox was part of the Peel-Raam Line built in 1939.
This particular bunker contains mannequins in Dutch uniforms crewing a machine gun.
Not all of the dummies were inside....
Nearby is a relic from a slightly later campaign - a splendid Ram Kangaroo.

That Kangeroo is fabulous, never seen one close up. Is that a Lee MG turret?

It is something of a rarity - and this one's on a piece of land on front of some houses! The MG turret does look a bit Lee-ish.
