Beaucoup d'essence

The new Megablitz ground crew extravaganza continues with these French vehicles.  One being more French then the other....
The green truck is a Citroen - a resin model by Raventhorpe.  So acceptably French then.  The blue (or should that be 'bleu'?) monstrosity began life as a broken Coles crane from the Airfix Recovery Set.  With the remains of the crane removed I added the fuel tank from the Refuelling Set's Bedford.  For some reason I decided the ensemble had a suitable Gallic look.  Or it may have been the wine.

The wine, huh? Looking through a Rosay tinted glass, do you reckon? Looks OK to me! ...

Lovely stuff! Puts me in mind of my visit to the Yorkshire Air Museum - this airfield museum was the home of a Free French heavy bomber squadron during WW2. They flew Halifax bombers, complete with French markings!

Well worth a visit if you get up this end of the country: http://www.yorkshireairmuseum.org/

A nice little bodge here Tim.

Another interesting vehicle for the masses would be this gem.
