Luftflotte von Gow

About ten years ago I bought a huge and mostly painted batch of Halmark 1/6000 scale WW2 warships, and a couple of years ago I was fortunate enough to be able to reunite them with a collection of 1/1200 scale aircraft painted by the same chap.  As the paintwork is really rather nice (and better than I can manage), my work has been confined to rebuilding and painting the stands and attaching small squares of magnetic material to them.  This means they can now be stored and transported in a slimline foolscap box file.
Some of the German models, including Ju-52, Bf-110, Ju-88 and He-111.
There are also a lot of Italian aircraft, together with smaller numbers of Brits, Americans and Japs.
A nice new laser printed box label.
The (almost filled) box.  To save your eyes and sanity I risked my own by counting them.  140.

They are rather nice - I was very pleased to land this batch. I do have more in this scale - mostly painted in the colours of my three fictional South American countries, for the 1930s and 1960s. Photos of some rather larger aircraft coming soon...

The joy of having models lined up on mass. A great source of satisfaction!

Joy indeed - but so far I've never used more than a dozen in a game! So far.....

Thanks Rich, but as per the text, virtually none of this is my work!

I'm a big fan of the a4 box storage.

Just be aware that you need much bigger box files for real aeroplanes!

That's only the WW2 stuff. The 1930s & 1960s stuff probably brings the total to a round 200.
