Stormy Vic - part 2

Behold the completed Sturmovik!  I used the decals from the kit, after applying a version of the suggested paintwork.  The red spinner was my own idea but it somehow looks right.

It's a beauty Tim, to my shame I have had one built and ready to paint that has been languishing in the cupboard for about five years. Seeing yours turn out so well makes me want to finish it.

“You have let down our country and our Red Army. You have the nerve not to manufacture Il-2s until now. Our Red Army now needs Il-2 aircraft like the air it breathes, like the bread it eats. (This plant) now produces one Il-2 a day….It is a mockery of the Red Army….I ask you not to try the government’s patience, and demand that you manufacture more Il-2s. This is my final warning. Stalin.”

Not surprisingly, Il-2 production increased sharply within weeks.

Nice job avoiding the gulag Timinki.....)

I like it!
Far better a bird than the Fairey Battle AASF (Advanced Air Strike Force) of RAF 1940 fame!
