Basically brilliant Buccaneer

Fresh from the Partizan ‘plane purchase pile is this rather lovely and surprisingly intact Buccaneer. Resplendent in RAF markings and all-over brown and tan camouflage it’s a very pleasing addition to my Little Cold Wars air forces.

Always liked the Buccaneer. Still remember a camping holiday in Scotland many years ago. Place called Lossiemouth. Seems there was an airfield next field over and the Buccaneers taking off every morning were very loud...

A nice bit of kit. It looks rather smart in desert camo.

Cheers,

Pete.

Great looking Buccaneer. I have a couple in 1/144th scale myself, always liked their look.

A great aircraft, and absolutely enormous in real life!

Now that was a rugged piece of kit

RAF Lossiemouth is still in Business. Typhoons these days I believe.

And camo underneath too - which suggests some enthusiastic flying!

Only 1/144th? I thought everyrhing was bigger in Texas....

Quite. The flight deck of the Ark Royal must have been damn strong to survive these buggers landing.

The kit seems pretty rugged too given it’s survival!
