Esci 7.5cm light infantry gun - part 1

I’ve always liked these German infantry guns so when I spotted this antique kit at a decent price I clearly had to have it.
Helpfully it includes five crew figures.
Despite the kit’s antiquity the figures went together well. The gun was more of a challenge as several of the parts were warped but it all came good in the end. I suppose I’d better paint it now....

It was back in the day a source of regret to me that ESCI didn't 'do' a 1/72 version of the gun the lIG 7.5cm, or the sIG 15cm. In the end I made a couple of cardboard guns, which I still use, after having got hold of 4 more metal ones. Apart from one mounted on a PzI chassis, I still haven't got/made up any towed 15cm sIGs... Hiatus valde deflendus.

My 1/72 IGs are metal kits by RAFM and Skytrex. Full marks for making your own!
