Shiny Happy Cossacks

The third and (thankfully) final regiment of Tratvian Cossacks is now complete!  Resplendent in their high-gloss topcoat of Ronseal outdoor varnish they now fear neither man nor weather.
Like their chums, these chaps are Armies in Plastic 1/32 figures.  Light conversions were required to produce the standard bearer and trumpeter.

Very cheery looking chaps, I can almost hear them singing.

Something about the thunder of their horses hooves and the wind from the matchsticks whizzing by as they gallop towards the enemy.

Aaaahhh - the rhythmic stamping of feet and the tinkle of massed balalaikas....

(I can almost hear Dr Zhivago in the background....)

Very nice indeed Tim.

All the best,

DC

Grrr, nearly had me ordering a batch of Egyptian cavalry! Must resist temptation and finish my Burkish infantry BEFORE I start collecting other stuff...

Really nice unit, well done!

I really like dropping in to see people's 1/32 scale game figures. These look great. Reminds me a TV character quoting his grandfather. "then the Cossacks came an we have NOTHING!"

(These ID thing are a B*****!)

I couldn't find a 1/32 balalaika so had to make to with the trumpet....

So, you're saying finish something.....before you start anything else? Interesting idea but I can't see it catching on.....

Thanks for your kind words. With me, it's more a case of "I started buying toy soldiers and now I have nothing. Except loads of toy soldiers..."
