Little Wars Centenary part 2B - Hook line and sinker

We move now to the encounter between the colourful Turkish Army of Mr BC (pictured above) and the Svenhasselsteiners (Army Black) of Mr ST.
ST takes time to aim one of his cannon.
The dramatic Turkish cavalry surge forward.
These figures were originally converted by none other than Ross Macfarlane.
The Turkish artillery officer's management style included threatening to shoot his own gunners!
The Turk's rapid advance may have caused a degree of consternation in the enemy ranks.
Soon troops from both sides were glaring at each other round a corner of the building.
A Turkish sniper soon sneaked up to a firing position.
How long would the stand-off last?
ST at work aiming another gun
Turkish fire soon created a few gaps in the Svenhasselsteiner ranks.
The soon to be victorious Mr BC oversees another artillery barrage.

"Well we set up on the lawn an the lads are all over the moon. Course, then the rain started an sick as parrots, we all go indoors. Next thing you know, we're playing on a smooth polished pitch, Johnny Turk wins the toss n kicks off an he's coming down the left wing faster than Billio! Our artillery lobbed a few gud un's into the center. Stromberg hoofs it down the right wing an is all ready for a shot at goal then the ref blows the final whistle and it's all over. We was robbed!!!
Still it's a game of three half's and the lads aren't to despondent. We looking forward to round two".

Hoorah for the Turcques of the Turquoise Empire! Mind you, that looked like a highly disciplined Svenhasselstein army that they defeated - so it was obviously no mean feat!

A very atmospheric description!

The Turks were certainly a delight to behold, but I definitely won't be building a Turkish army. Almost certainly. Well probably not.

The Turks are a delight but you can't have just one.

I believe that the usual quantity is a horde?
