Little Wars Centenary part 2C - Hook line and sinker

The third game of Round One saw the Army Red (British NW Frontier) of Mr AM locked in combat with the British-style reinforced Naval Brigade led by Mr AG.  The last named gentleman was to have led his own Army Red/White on to the field of battle but it had got lost en route.  Happily it subsequently surfaced at the local Post Office and will soon be reunited with it's owner.
Among the surprises in AM's army was this headless driver.  I have often observed a similar standard of driving on the M1 in Nottinghamshire...
The Naval Brigade HQ arrived by bus!
AM's army was very neatly deployed.
Naval gunners deploy for action
One of the more alarming sights of the weekend - Mr AG armed and dangerous

The Navy's attached cavalry regiment was first to reach the church.  Clearly a devout unit...
AM in full control of the situation.  Good hat though.
The Marines surge forward most photogenically
Soon even the Naval HQ was at the church...
...but AM's gunners were tearing gaps in the Navy's lines
This game ended with control of the church in dispute.

A most excellent standard of reporting, one could almost have been there oneself!
