French field telephone

Using the Tamiya 1940 French set and a delve in the spares box, I was able to bodge these chaps with a field telephone c.1916.  I think they have the right ‘look’.

Excellent job Tim! They really do have the right look with a big touch of drama! Where is that darn phone book?

Great work, very active scene. Is he explaining to his Commander how to do the Hokey-Kokey? "You put your right arm in..."

Some attractive work there, very nicely done!

Nice piece of work, hope you were listening to the Blondie song as you painted.

A phone book! I didn’t think of that!

More like “if I can’t get them on the phone you’ll have to take the message yourself”.

One can only hope that the chap at the other end isn’t called Denis…..

Bodge? This was dangerously close to proper modelling for me!

A fine little staff/field HQ vignette, Tim. Just the sort of thing to lend 'tone' (so to speak) upon what might otherwise be a vulgar tabletop brawl...

Quite so! And better comms means they can be first to complain about the dice being against them.

Very useful. Will the Marne Taci deliver their Uber eats before the attack?

Great little vingette Tim.

You should make players in a lawn game use a tin can telephone to represent it when it gets used in whjat ever you have planned for it.

Cheers,

Pete.

I’m sure that grade of traffic was banned from the Voie Sacree!

Good idea - but I suspect my players would cheat and just shout!
