MiG-17 part 3

I managed to get the Fresco finished during the week and celebrated yesterday's nice weather by taking photos outside.  In a crazy twist I went for Romanian markings - one of several Warpact sets which came with the kit.
I have more aircraft coming soon - but not a wing in sight.  Start practicing your 'wokka wokka wokka' noises now....

Always thought wings were greatly over rated.

Whenever I see those fins on the wings I'm reminded of what the old NATO pilots
used to say, "they are there so the air wont defect across the wings"...Nice work Tim...)

I always think of it as more of a "Thup, Thup, Thup, Thup."

Lovely job. What's the difference between a Mig 15 and 17 please? (Don't say 'two')

It's that sort of attitude that brought us the F-104 Starfighter...

I thought you'd approve!

The green paint makes it look surprisingly 'different.'

There goes my best line...
Basically the '17 is a more developed '15 - a wee bit bigger and more powerful. And of course it has a much less embarassing NATO codename. Many pilots would feel it's better to fly with a Fresco than a Fagot...

Starfighter was one of my favourites. Looks lethal. Course, I've never flown in one...
