It's that time of year again where we take the time to remember those who sacrificed all. The freedom so expensively bought enables the rest of us to indulge in daft hobbies and freely exchange our views and ideas.
I am fortunate to live in a village where Remembrance Sunday is observed every year. A short ceremony is followed by the two minute's silence and then a service in either the church of the Methodist chapel.
While we are not churchgoers, we like to get to the ceremony - and we're not the only ones. I'd estimate the crowd this year to have been 200+ strong, which was pleasing to see. As usual the three Police officers in attendance halted traffic in the village during the silence.
