Lame Lancaster - part 3

I managed to spend a bit of time on the Lanc a few days ago, but it's been a busy week.  The camo paintwork doesn't look too bad, and I've made a start on painting over the (not very) transparent bits.  More detail painting to follow.

Coming up trumps by the look of it Tim.

The canopies really like the sliver effect I think.

Magnificent! Something about the Lanc, it has a real presence.

Looking good. I always wanted a few of these but never had the time. Acquired some Liberators but it's the Lanc for me. Keep it up.

Like how that looks, now the question is what game have you got planned for it?

Cheers,

Pete.

Nice work, reminds me of the ones I put together as a kid.

It certainly looks better than it did!

The canopies are actually pale blue. Now I have to paint the framing on the turrets....

If you mean it takes up too much space on the modelling table you're right! Mind you, I was speaking to a bloke today who is building a 1/48 scale B-17....

SOME Liberators? In 1/72? More than one sounds like a lot!

You think there's a plan? How long have you been reading my blog?

It's a trip down memory lane for us all! A least the Lanc, though bad, is better than the one I built in the '70s...

Tim- I wasn't thinking you'd have a plan before you started but more you'd think of something by the time you've finished it.

Cheers,

Pete.

Well I've not finished it yet, so there's still time....
