Build complete - on with the paint! A quick spray all over of pale grey, then more grey brushed on with come olive camo.

Once the glue dried it was time to press on.  Off came all the tape.  Sadly some of the gaps were such - wing roots and base of tail - that not even my rather slapdash quality control could accept them.

In not entirely unrelated news I have now run out of filler!

Flying Flatiron - part 1

For my first kit of 2023 I dug this out for a game I have in mind.  I believe it’s an incarnation of the old (1975) FROG kit  

Not too many parts - phew!

Look at the thickness of that plastic!

The tooling clearly isn’t in its first flush of youth, so a LOT of tape is required to hold it together while the glue dries. 

Questionable Carlist cavalry conversion - complete

Here are the completed Carlist cavalry.  A small unit of half a dozen (I'll stick with 12 for infantry and 6 for cavalry units in this era), resplendent in green tunics, red breeches and enormous red berets. 

As usual I found a flag on the internet.  Forgive the hurried photos.

The complete unit - I rather like them.
