Little Cold Wars game - 10 June 2016

Following the success of the Neue Stan Halle game played on the lawn at Knuston Hall in June 2015, I have again booked this venue for a game on Friday 10 June 2016.
Last year's players all rated the day very highly.  But they probably just need to get out more.
The date - Friday 10 June 2016
The time - 1000 to 1700ish
The deal - £35ish gets you a pleasant lawn game with an indoor option if there is inclement weather, lunch at lunchtime and tea/coffee throughout the day.

I'm thinking that afterwards we can adjourn to a local hostelry for a debrief and possible some food, setting off home after the worst of the traffic has dispersed.

Please let me know ASAP if you are interested and feel free to mention this to other discerning gamers!
Strictly pre-booking only - there will be no facility to simply roll up on the day!

Drachenzähne

Drachenzähne  or Dragons' Teeth formed part of several fortified lines in WW2 and later - most notably the Maginot and Siegfried lines and the East German border.  I understand that Switzerland still maintains several stretches of such obstacles, where they are entertainingly known as 'Toblerone lines.'  Perhaps there is scope for a game where the assault engineers have to eat their way through the defence lines?
Mine started off life as a seedling tray but I soon spotted it's military potential!  Cut into individual 'teeth', based and painted concrete-ish grey, I now have a two and a half foot (75cm) stretch to protect Forbodia's frontier.  The Dinky Chieftain is present in the photos to lend tone to the proceedings...

A sound SPANKing

A recent 'restructure' of the Forbodian security services has been followed by what we decadent capitalists would call a 'corporate rebranding'.  The now-discredited SPARK (Special Police And Revolutionary Kommissars) has been swept away and replaced by a new organisation headed up by the much-feared Colonel R Klebb.  The  Colonel's new organisation delights in the name of
Secret Police And Naughtiness Kommissars, or SPANK.
Col. Klebb and a lackey tour the front line during last year's Neue Stan Halle game.  Rumours abound that the assistant's main jobs are opening Vodka bottles and lighting the Colonel's (Cuban) cigars...
The Colonel travels in a rather splendid Volga motor car...
...while her less equal comrades must endure the more proletarian Zhiguli.  That's a Lada 1600 to you decadent westerners.
Here the comrades issue a SPANKing to a mortar battery which keeps missing it's target.

The train now departing....

I nearly forgot to post this!  Here then is the concluding part of the action.  The US cavalry (above) successfully charged some of the Rebs.

Meanwhile their CS counterparts saw off the sentries at the signal box.  You can tell they were galloping along due to the fuzzy picture...
The Rebs secured the Yankee guns and summoned gunners from the train. Sneaky, eh?  Speaking of sneakiness, the Yanks had by now recaptured the loco and set off in reverse!

The surviving cavalry soon found each other...
...and while the Rebs secured the town and it's stack of supplies the train pulled out...
...leaving the few troopers to slash one another to death.  Another blurry action photo.
The players assemble by the scene of their crimes.
