Rescued from a local river a couple of years after the war, this Panther has been on display next to the Hotel De Postes for most of its life. Recently it has received a thorough rebuild and fresh new paint. Now in a more elevated position, it also benefits from a roof which should help to preserve it.

A lovely restoration job on that. Presumably poor old Panther number 111 was also picked to be the point tank for column (as the first tank of the first platoon etc) which was how it ended up in the river!
Would love to see that in the flesh! I saw a Tiger back in the mid 60's that was later rescued.

Given that the roads and bridges would have been narrower in 1944, driving a large AFV through a small Belgian town in winter must have been a challenge!
