The Left Bank 1916 part 4 - German preparations

Pioneers and machine gunners march forwards under the watchful eye of a staff officer. (painted metal figures by Tradition of London)
77mm field guns fire a few ranging shots. (modern Britains painted metal castings)

Further back super heavy guns are manoeuvred into position using the latest petrol tractors. (gun is an ancient tinplate toy, tractor a recent 1/43 plastic & diecast model)

This big-budget production even has sound effects!

Boy Tim, you're really rolling out the big guns for this one! Very impressive piece and the tractor is perfect! Very well done!

Tim, Some more lovely collectables on view. That old tin-plate cannon is magical!

I do like those toys! And ain't those Britains' Germans pretty, though?

Both cannons are things of beauty, but in different ways.

You know me - any excuse to wheel out all the daft toys!

Magical? I like that!

No point in having all this stuff if it always stays in boxes.

The Britains artillery set wasn’t cheap but what a delight!

They’re two of my more extravagant acquisitions - nice to get them both in one game.
