I have a battalion-worth of these old but very charismatic Dulcop figures and recently managed to coax a few in front of the camera. Some might find fault with the rather flamboyant poses but I rather like them. And they are, when all is said and done, toy soldiers.

Wow, I'd never even heard of the company. Good proportions. Interesting 'Sound of Music' poses. I've done Alpini in 1/72 but never come across a single surrender pose. Eighth Army, yes, DAK, yes but Italians...no. Do you game in 1:32 or just collect? Best wishes and well done.

I have been trying to decide on Italian uniform paint colors forever now. I rather like the green(s?)/grey-greens you went with - it seems quite befitting of the alpini.
They look very good. I kinda like the active poses, I think they are having a vibrant conversation.

These chaps won’t surrender. They’ll be too busy being mown down by Austrian machine gunners. And yes, all my toys are for wargaming - I don’t own a collection, more like an accumulation.

The green of my chaps is the original plastic colour. I added a little bit to the detail painting and finished with a coat of my usual satin light oak varnish. Glad you like ‘em.

I am reminded for some reason of the ESCI bunch of Alpini (1:72 scale). I don't recall ever having the figures, but somehow or another I picked up a whole bunch of the pack mules, one of which was included in each pack. Along with the Airfix pack horses that went with the German Mountain Troops set and and that I retained just enough sense to keep, they make a fine collection of pack animals suitable for any number of periods. You can't have too many pack animals.
