Not what you thought, eh? You'll perhaps recall the appearance of these 1/32 scale chaps in a
previous post. This box of Armies in Plastic 18th Century cavalry was, I freely confess, an impulse purchase as I wanted to see if I could actually paint figures for this period. As to whether I can - I'll let you be the judge.
The colour scheme was inspired by the early C18 Swedish Dragoon in the Funcken 'Lace Wars' books. As usual they were topped off with a coat of gloss outdoor varnish.
So will there be more of this sort of thing? Well anything is possible.

Excellent work. They look very dandy.

A definite change of pace for me!

'Dandy' is pretty much the look I am going for.
You can't go far wrong with getting anything in a tricorn.
Splendid looking chaps indeed. Are we to be treated to 18th century Forbodians at some point perchance?

Possibly - I'm still trying to find it on period maps....
Where can I get hold of figures like this? A half-dozen (or so) horse figures per side would be just the thing to round out my AWI forces.

Armies in Plastic. They're quite widely available but let me know if you're struggling to find them.
Thanks, Tim... I'll look 'em up.
