Just in case you thought the Forbodian Peoples' Air Force would be a mighty organisation, here is their latest acquisition.
The tale of this nasty MiG-15 has been unfolding over a couple of earlier posts here and here.
Anyway, the bloody thing is now finished and I have to say it looks OK.
Even the vast quantity of filler has covered up tolerably well!

Tim,
It certainly has the look of having been repaired with a sledgehammer!
All the best,
Bob
Tim,
I have just remembered a story that I overheard whilst I was aboard the USS intrepid a couple of years ago. A guide was explaining to some visitors that the MiGs had a hole in the top of the air intake so that a tow rope could be fitted, and that a bullock could then be harnessed to it so that the aircraft could be moved. This was intended for use in areas of the world where motor vehicles were relatively rare ... but not - apparently - jet fighters!
All the best,
Bob
Turned out nice in the end Tim.
Cheers,
Pete.
Flipping fantastic.

aaaah, I love the smell of unpainted dodgy mig aluminium in the morning...

Thee were times during the build when, if I'd had a sledgehammer handy it might well have been used.
The towing arrangement sounds very sensible - after all, the less you spend on tractors the more you have for jet fighters!
Pete
Yes, I was surprised too!
M S Foy
Fairly friendly of you to say so.

It's main weapon will be bits of filler dropping off...
Duc de Gobin
Enjoy the smell - it's better than looking at it!
Nice piece of alliteration too.. :-)
Kind regards
Robin
I don't know what you're talking about - it looks like a triumph of people's engineering.

One tries....

Quite right Comrade! We will sweep the evil capitalists from the sky. If we can find a broom with a really long handle.....
Smashing sliver sheen.
Top notch boggin' Tim.

I really must try to get more of that shiny silver spray paint!
Fine fanatic fiddling fairly finalized for Forbodian flying forces!
Fabulous!
That does look nice Tim. I really like the polished aluminium effect you got with your paint. I have failed on both occasions when I tried to get this effect. Well done.

I knew this would run and run!

Not perhaps the first f-word which springs to mind!

The silver was sprayed on from a very small can of chrome effect paint. I bought 2 of them a couple of years ago in a sale and have never seen any since!
