Winter wonderland

The wintry scenes continue.  These photos were taken from the games room* window this morning.
The roads are OK as far as I know, but my meeting this evening has been postponed so I don't (yet) have to tacke the scene below with a shovel...
* I wasn't skiving - it's next to my office.

No shortage of snow in Edinburgh, but it's the wet kind falling on wet ground so it's not lying.

It's a bit tougher on nearby high ground though!

Very pretty, but getting military lets discuss field of fire.

You see on the rhs at about 35 meters there's a chimney? Good, now, when you see the fat geezer in the red suit, with a bunch of overgrown bambis wait for him to get out of the cart type thing, then drop the lead bambi. The rest will stumble about but drop at least one other too. Now you have to be quick here, a double tap will do it. Then plug the fat guy, yeah, the one in the red suit.

Now sit back and watch and wait for the BBC for the real deal.

You can probably tell I am on a break with nothing to do...

Regards

I'm meant to be in the Peak District tomorrow. A lawyer friend lives out there and says the roads were very exciting when she was driving to work this morning...

You're on a break? I'd never have guessed...

There's something very comforting about these pictures. Homelike I suppose.

Good time for an outdoor FLW Winter War game.

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
and the painting tray looks so delightful,
But there's simply no models on show,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow....

I reckon a scenic shot of Tratvian Cossacks charging across the snow into a Forbodian machine gun nest would be very therapeutic....

All the best,

D.Martin aka Dr Zhivago

Taken as they were from inside a warm house the are quite comforting! FLW in the snow? Nice idea, but the snow is considerably deeper than the figures are tall!
