An easy build at the weekend was this 1/144 scale Nakajima Ki-27 'Nate'. I've actually had this model for some time - it is another of those Japanese 'Gashapon' pre-painted models which required only some assembly and markings. You can see my Japanese Nates in this
earlier post, but this one is rather different due to being finished as an aircraft belonging to the 'puppet' state of Manchuckuo. I've no idea what the characters on the fuselage say - any ideas?

I think that would have made it a cheaper model!
If I could read that, I'd have a working Kindle now.
(Wife bought me one for Christmas. I charged it up, she noticed it had been charged so decided to set it up for me. Set the language as Chinese. Says she knows someone who can sort it, but the Kindle is still sitting there.)

Oh dear oh dear. It's not a language that gives us westerners much of a fighting chance. It's even worse than when the digital readouts in my friend's BMW got stuck in Dutch...

I don't know what it says, but I guarantee that some shaven headed Herbert is wandering around with it tattooed on his arm.
I rather like the roundels; they look like they were 'invented' by a committee that could not agree.

Perhaps they only had the means to draw one size of circle and had to fill in the gaps with straight lines.
