As well as nine infantry battalions, the division includes an artillery regiment (above) with a Hinchliffe 75mm gun and Raventhorpe limber.
Above and below - The divisional HQ - complete with a rather antiquated staff car. |
The recce squadrons - Raventhorpe horseman and bicycle. The reluctant cyclist is another FAA figure. |
The complete division. The Renault UE (right) functions as the transport element. |

Great stuff again. I am sure that the cyclist is doing some urgent maintenance under fire!
Cheers

Nice, one of the things I like about modern developments in plastic is that it's become quite easy to build armies from some of the 'minor' nations in both World Wars, Italians, French...even Romanians!
Is the car Lledo or one of those 1970's petrol station give-aways?

I think he's trying to get his cycle clips on before pedalling furiously away!

True enough - though this is an 'all metal' division built in the mid 1990s. The car is a horrible die cast I picked up for £1 at the time.
Top class work as always, Tim! I'd never heard of Megablitz until I saw your site and I'm now very intrigued.
Must resist new project....resist....resist
Another great unit Tim, I'm working away improving my own French collection, cheers :)
Very nice, vehicle is wonderful!

You'll weaken. They always do... (exit to the sound of manic laughter)

Thanks. I will find still more French units to pose for the camera soon.

Thanks - I think this is the only French division I have which doesn't contain any outrageous conversion or improvisation work.
Good to see more of your French forces Tim. Well thought out stands.

You may be right, but I don't honestly remember much 'thought' being involved. More a case of 'see it want it' and 'ooh, shiny'.
