Wooden ships and iron men*

*white metal actually, but who’s counting?
Since they now have crew figures and flags I can consider my brace of Funny Little Wars gunboats complete.  Given that they now have a naval brigade to support it is to be hoped that they will see some action this summer.

A mere brace, come now Commodore this is a fleet!

Now I want to build a Gunboat...

Excellent repetition.

Hi Tim,

Very nice indeed! Just right for lazy summer days on the lawn with a large Pimms and lemonade....;-)

All the best,

Who doesn't need a gunboat? Get building!

If you can provide the lawn I'll bring the rest!

Tim Gow,

Very nice. Are you about to become the Vickers Armstrong of your generation? More importantly, can they fight or are they all fluff and no substance?

All the best,

Bob

I have to agree with Paul here,in war games terms it's at the very least a flotilla. But why quibble, very nicely done Tim!

Thanks, but then I know you're a sucker for a nautical theme!

I think I'm a bit too far inland to set up a major shipyard!

OK - its a flotilla. I'd better promote the Captain to a Commodore!

Ahhhh, I'd heard of the Great White Fleet before, never seen it. I'm impressed!

Looking good - will they be doing any Conradian firing into the jungle?

Paul said...

Maybe I will Mr Gow, maybe I will...

It is white, it is a fleet (according to Paul), but the jury is out on the extent of it's greatness!

Find me a model jungle and I'll loose off a few matchsticks!
