Meanwhile, back in the slave market...

Photo by Rob Young of Garrison Miniatures
The Rose Miniatures 30mm 'Roman Slave Market' figures I mentioned recently (Rude Romans) are now available once more!  See more at the Garrison Miniatures website  At £0.80 each I reckon these are quite a bargain!

The annoying thing is that Rose Miniatures was based less than a mile from where I live ... but ceased trading at about the time I moved to my current address.

All the best,

Bob

If only they'd known - you could have kept them going single handed!

Ooooh...they're nice.

Hi Tim,

They would be pretty useful add ons to a gladiator game - all that would be missing would be a Proximo figure!

All the best,

DC

A fixed price? I would have expected to be asked to bid on them.

I understand they're cast from a new mould and they look pretty good to me.

There's a conversion challenge for you!

There you go again Ross - taking the realism in your games too far!

They are big - all of 30mm tall - but that probably means higher bids from your Zvezda Romans!

They are on new moulds but not from original masters - I managed to get some unpainted figures off ebay to use, hence the fact that one is missing from the range - haven't got one yet. Scale wise, they are 'true' 30mm and quite slimline. The 25mm Garrison gladiators are a bit heftier and about 28mm tall. As such, the two ranges are pretty compatible and don't look out of place with each other. Zvezda figurs are about 24mm, so probably wouldn't be compatible.

If only I'd know before I pained my set! If I come across unpained examples of any of your range I'll drop you a email.

Oh no - I can hear a slave market game being developed!
