Tupolev SB-2 - part 1 - work in progress

I bought a pair of these 1/144 scale metal kits a couple of months ago and suffering as I do from a fear and loathing of metal kits, I eventually contracted the work out to Wg Cdr Luddite.  He kindly sent me these photos on Monday and I hope to collect the completed models later this week.
The component parts of an SB-2 - the kit is made by Reviresco.
The assembled model showing added filler and MGs.
The Wg Cdr tells me that this wasn't a delight to build!

I don't know why, but I struggle with glueing together bits of metal. Welll, anything much beyond sticking turrets on 6mm tanks. You know where you are with a plastic model.
