A hasty Hannover - part 1

In urgent need of a German two-seater recce aircraft for the re-run of the Somme game I opened - not without trepidation - this old Airfix kit.
Actually it wasn't too bad a build, save for the usual need for seven hands to get the top wing on straight.
So (with yet more trepidation) I contemplated a colour scheme....

That greeny purply lozenge effort on the box isn't too bad...

Very nice. I had one of those...nigh on 40 years ago!

Exactly - it looked a bugger to paint.

I remember seeing it in the Airfix catalogue around that time. Did your Hannover survive the decades?

Hi Tim,

No. I have vague recollections that I used parts to make a bitza star fighter!

That's no way for a Hannover to die!

I keep looking at 1/72 WW1 aircraft and am tempted but I know this will take me off on yet another lengthy diversion! :)

I'm so easily distracted!

Look forward to seeing what you do with this, Mr. G.

Good luck!

I needed it for a game - always the best motivation to build stuff.
