Bf-109E

Last out of the recent F-toys box was this trio of Bf-109E.  I'm not exactly short of Luftwaffe '109s but I was unable to resist adding these two to my collection.  The colour scheme of the first reminds me of the box art for the Matchbox '109 kit I had in the mid-1970s.
The third of the '109s wears Romanian colours.  I was particularly pleased about this as although I already had several Romanian aircraft I lacked a 109.  Coincidentally, I mentioned the old Matchbox 1/72 kit earlier - the other set of markings in that kit were Romanian!
A 109 as removed from the box and awaiting assembly.

A lovely trio. How do those stands work?

Beautiful kits

Keep 'em coming

PS:
The Me-109 certainly is an enigmatic plane. Pictures of one in RAF colours circa 1940 always make me do a "double take". Captured it was put through the "combat evaluation"

Irresistible, arent they? The stands are not great and I'll probably drill all three for my normal stands.

Plenty more 144 aircraft lurking in boxes!

The assembly was a doddle, and the painting already done!
