A Marder for Paul

Further to an exchange of comments with Paul over at Plastic Warriors when I suggested that he might build his Matchbox Panzer 2 as a Marder, here are a few photos of 'one I prepared earlier.'
A very basic conversion, this was based on an even worse effort I produced at a rather younger age.
First, the Panzer 2 hull was assembled straight from the box.  The PAK 40 is the Airfix kit, less it's carriage and wheels.  The hull side plates were cut from plastic sheet and were angled at the front to overlap the gun shield.  The plates are by no means the correct shape but are close enough to look more or less right.
The crew figures were also sourced from the Airfix PAK 40 kit.
A few random bits of stowage completed the model.  It currently serves as the PanzerJager Abteillung in 23 Panzer Division.

Fabulous. I think that's inspired. Wish I had the know-how.

No real know-how required, just a Panzer II, a PAK 40 and some pics of a Marder!

Thanks Don - and I've not forgotten our plan to try a Megablitz-by-Skype game.
