Massive Mavis

What can I say?  It's a big bu**er!  This 1/144 scale Kawanishi H6K is another of those Japanese pre-coloured 'Gashapon' kits.  This one required more assembly than most.
It is truly vast and not conventionally pretty, but I can't help rather liking it.
That's a 12in/30cm ruler!
Little Claude isn't impressed.

I'm sure it'll be a working exhibit a some point.

It may not be clever - but it is big!

Were those the sorts planes engaged by the Marine Raiders at Makin Island? Boys ATR vs huge great seaplane.

I've not heard of that - but I rather like the idea!

That is massive... I looked it up on line it seems to have an endurance to match its wingspan.

Cheers,

Pete.

A range of 4000+ miles is certainly impressive, but to fuel it would cost over £17,000!*
*Based on current UK prices for unleaded petrol.
