Quatre Bras - part 2

We rejoin the action as a French infantry unit seems poised to seize the village of Quatre Bras - but the Allies seem to be getting their act together and the French are a long way from a clear victory.
The French position of the ridge line appears threatened by Brits in the distance and DB troops in the foreground.
This overview shows that the French centre has surged forward but the left has still to make much progress.
The cheeky French have made it to Quatre Bras and are preparing to defend it!
The Brits have cleared most of the ridge - how long can the Frenchies hold the village?
Kellerman arrives with a unit of cuirassiers in the nick of time!
Kellerman's charge against the DB light cavalry goes well.
The remaining French cavalry threaten some DB infantry - who promptly form a square.
Just as Kellerman is about to deliver his game-winning charge, some (off camera) French gunners beat him to it.  A decisive but hard-fought French victory.

Some how the DB always take the blame. Looks like good game.

First rule of alliances - always have someone to blame!

In fairness to the DBs, the British performance wasn't stellar either. The British brigade on their left put up a decent show at first but then melted away, while the Grenadier Guards on the right never fired a shot!

True enough. A promising political career cut short I think!
