Qatari AMX-30

I needed these for a game (based on the Battle of Khafji, 1991) a few years ago to represent a rather under-strength tank battalion.  The models are rather splendid GHQ castings but have been rather let down by my painting and photography.
By the way, in the game (which I ran three times but sadly have no photos of), the unit lived up to it's 1991 nickname - 'Panzer Group Qatar'.

I think your painting and photographing are up to the standards of the castings? I like the terrain hex - is this the Hexon stuff David C raves about?

You are very kind. It is indeed Hexon terrain as mentioned by raving David C... The desert set was bought as 'blank' tiles and 'flocked' with real sand: http://megablitzandmore.blogspot.com/2008/12/hexon-terrain.html
