BA-6 armoured cars

These were bought at the Partizan show in September 2010 and built about a year later.  Only a year and a bit further on here they are finally painted!  I really like these 6-wheeled armoured cars and the Pegasus kit is an easy way to get a really nice model.  Markings have been kept to a minimum and one car has a Britannia commander.

Very nice indeed. I want these Pegasus cars for my Finnish army (the Finns captured a lot of these). They look pretty good for simple war game quality models don't they?

Very nicely done - all the angles and edges seem to help 'lift' the usual tank green finish. Tempted m'self!

You really can't go wrong with this kit (after all, I didn't...). I look forward to seeing your Finnish version.

The expression 'Dorky Charm' has been used elsewhere in connection with the BAs.

They were a joy to drybrush!

One thing Tim, how do you determine the size of the bases for your vehicles? Do you use a set measurement like 5mm around the base of the vehicle to judge the size of the base?

Jealous again...Damn you Gow!

My 20mm toys are based for Megablitz (though they do get used for other games). A stand generally represents a battalion-sized unit and so wants to be 1km (4cm) wide. Some are wider to accommodate bigges toys - the T34s are about 6cm. Length (depth) is dictated largely by the size of the toy, so,the BAs stands are 8cm long, the T34s 10 cm. leg infantry are on 4x4cm bases.

They seem to be easy to find at shows.
