Poll dancing

My poll on the format of the blog has now closed and the results are in!  61 votes were cast and the scores on the doors are as follows:

80% of voters (49 votes) are in favour of the old (current) format.
9% (6 votes) preferred the 'new' flipcard format which I tried out for a few days in early March.
6% (4 votes) either didn't know or care
3% (2 votes) claimed that "I don't read this rubbish, I just like internet polls."

I know that doesn't quite add up to 100% but don't blame me.
So for the time being at least we'll be staying with the current layout.  Flipcard looks great but for the moment at least takes far too long to load up - even with a wired fibre-optic broadband connection to the interwebnet.  Maybe this will change in the future, so I'll keep an eye on it.

Meanwhile what passes for 'normal service' will be resumed...

A blog post ain't a blog post without a photo of some toys.  Does anyone else have a corner of a shelf full of crap like this?  10 points to the first reader to identify all the toys...

Hi Tim,

Sorry old chap but the vision of you poll dancing has sent me scurrying for a supply of industrial strength sedatives....

I suspect that if you did it it would be with a black undercoat and drybrushed accessories....;-)

All the best,

DC

Are you getting professional help about your 'visions'?

It's snowing again here so all garments will be remaining in place!

It's been a lot worse Chris - and it's by no means the worst bit of the toy room.

It's good to know I wasn't the only one who voted for flipcard. The people have spoken and I accept their choice. I may have to ask my readers this very same question.

Hi Tim,

Only on the days with a 'y' in them....;-)

All the best,

Morris is a cat, and quite the finicky eater.

The Dancing, as far as I can tell, is with bells on (literally) and lots of knee 'action'.

Speaking as the voice of the silent majority and the people that would have shot that burglar a third time - I DEMAND A RECOUNT !!!

My problem - as 'she who must be obeyed' keeps reminding me - is that my toys *aren't* all on one shelf, but scattered all over the house! :)

After my own experiences with Flipcard the results came as no surprise!

And just when is your firearms licence up for renewal?

Mine are all in one room. Variously referred to by other member sof the household as my 'Toy Room', 'War Room' or 'Lair'.

You mean to say they sell licences for these things? Well I never!!! This government really will go to any lengths to raise revenue won't they! Next you'll be telling me that we need public liability insurance for the village witch burnings.
