A few years ago I picked up a small batch of mangled bits of various metal models from a certain internet auction site. These included several bits of 20mm GAZ66 trucks which after a certain amount of work did a bit of time travelling and now serve in my WW2 Red Army. The other parts all belong to various members of the Brirish Alvis CVR(T) family and seem to be about 1/87 scale. There are parts enough to knock together a Spartan APC and a Sultan ACV (which I still haven't done!) and a spare Sultan hull. This was too nice a casting to waste, so clearly a rummage in the spares box was required!

Unfortunately, my sense of what's acceptable on a games table was warped early on by an article in Gene McCoy's WD showing how to add SP anti-tank guns to your forces by mounting the Airfix 6 pdr on top of the Universal Carrier that comes with it.

Good effort Ross, but it is acually the earlier MkIII-S retrofitted with the front-mounted winch which is a standard fitment on the 'T'.
Oddly enough, an Airfix Carrier mounting a 6pdr (mangled into a German 37mm) was one of my earliest conversions.
That;s not so bad, all my panzer II and such are likewise redone.

I love it! It looks more like a CET now. I always thought those SP tracks and wheels looked soviet to me.

Not awful at all Tim, it is clearly the little-known Sultana prototype that only ever saw service with the sultan of Brunei's Armoured Troop.

I'm sure you're correct. If memory serves the Sultana was developed from the earlier 'Grape'...
