A messenger from the Royal Navy (none other than Wg Cdr Luddite - right) arrives to tell the CO of 44 Div (Chris Ager) to pull back to the channel ready for evacuation - but - and this in a very loud voice - "Don't tell the French!" This produced genuine dismay in a number of the French players who, like their historical counterparts, felt let down and betrayed by their allies. |
