Quite a few of you identified the kit part as belonging to an Alpha Jet - some even specified the Heller version! I picked this up on eBay a few weeks ago. I'd been after one for a while to serve as close support for my
Little Cold Wars West Germans. I admit that the version I finally secured didn't look promising as the box art features an aircraft from the
Patrouille De France aerobatics team. Burt more of that in a future post.

Love it! Combining two of my passions! Plane spotting and model building! Good thing it wasn't a Super Mystere! No mistery any more then: Heller it is. In my mind it was a toss-up between the Matchbox and Heller kits, with Revell a distant third option
