While I was building a 'new' LVT for a recent blog post Link I took the opportunity to repair and paint three others which I've had since JR presented them to me about 15 years ago! As I've had cause to remark before, it doesn't do to rush these things. The new addition was completed as a British vehicle and will in the fullness of time be joined by two more. The three older models I finished in US colours.
My trio of US LVTs - the .50 gunners are metal figures (Raventhorpe?) which I've also had for quite a while. |
The markings are pretty minimal - this accords with most of the photographic evidence I've seen. |
Another view of my British Buffalo. Two of the LVTs were completed with ramps up and two down. |
The British LVT again. |
Beautiful brace of Buff's. I must get out mine as well now.
ReplyDeleteI think the figures make the passenger/cargo deck took to small compared to the real thing.
Nice post.
Very cool!

The Nice crew figures really make it a beautiful piece of kit! Rivers crossings are GO ;)
ReplyDeleteThey look pretty good Tim.
ReplyDeleteNice herd, what do you have planned for them/ Walcheren or the Rhine?
ReplyDeleteMine have sat in the box since I last did Lake Commachio at least three years ago.

ReplyDeleteThe figures are a bit over scale, but what the hell.
