These chaps represent the staff of the Forbodian Infantry Brigade and are HAT ACW Zouaves with head transplants.
That's not as clever as it sounds, as HAT thoughtfully supply a few spare heads with wide-brimmed hats. So a bit of slicing, trimming, drilling and glueing was all that was required.
The two coats of varnish have worked well, as I've already dropped two of these chaps onto a wooden floor while placing them on a 4 foot high shelf - with no ill effects.

I watch the growing arms race with interest.

ReplyDeleteKing Boris thanks you for your continued interest.
Tom,
ReplyDeleteThey look very nice indeed, and I am looking forward to facing them across the lawn/floor in early July.
All the best,
Bob

ReplyDeleteIf I can stop them leaping off their shelf I'm sure they'll be there.
Eager to get at the foe! Always a good sign. (...Unless they were actually trying to run away....No, perish the thought! )

ReplyDeleteI initially mis-read your comment as "eager to get at the food." Which is probably closer to the truth!
