7 Armoured Division - part 5 - tanks!

In a shock development I have now completed this division!  The newly finished models are below - a further post will show photos of the complete formation.
65 AT Regiment RA, represented her by an M-10 Achilles.  This is an Armourfast M-10 with the gun barrel from a Matchbox Firefly (I built it before Armourfast made their Achilles...).  The commander figure is an AB tanker, complete with mug of tea!
131 Infantry Brigade.  Three infantry battalions (Platoon 20 figures) and a resin Bedford OY lorry.
15 Light AA Regiment RA.  Crusader AA Mk1 by Frontline.
8 Hussars (Armoured Recce Regiment).  The Challenger is a Frontline resin kit.
The Divisional Signals Company.  Daimler Scout Car by Matchbox.
An essential part of any armoured division - tanks!  This is 22 Armoured Brigade with it's three regiments of Cromwell cruiser tanks.  I can't remember the manufacturer, but these are resin models with white metal gun barrels.

Thanks for the mention. The Crusader AA is a delight - will you be at Triples? Frontline are usually represented there.

Thanks - just my usual scruffy paint job.

I'm just pleased to have finished them at last. I've had the Cromwells knocking about for around 15 years!

  6. Lovely work, the Dingo is a delight! Scruffy I think not Tim.

  7. You might call it a "scruffy" paint job, but the insignia bring it up a treat. Are they hand painted or transfers?

Thanks. Scruffy is good - it's the look I aim for. Luckily it's the only style I can manage!

Thanks - the markings may be a bit overdone, but they do add a touch of colour. The bridging circles and arm of service marks are hand painted, stars, div signs etc are decals.

  10. Those Frontline Crusader AAs are indeed a thing of beauty.

Funnily enough I have a Megablitz scenario involving 7th AD largely mapped out, just a smallish bash with a few divisions. Perhaps we could do it at the club shortly Tim?

  11. That Achilles looks identical to the HaT one, I would have thought it was the kit rather than a conversion. Well done.
