Here then is the completed Javelin. I added the Firestreak AAMs on which I was unable (as usual) to resist adding red noses. It’s a striking looking thing and it’s shape and size give it great presence.
Your model of the Javelin looks magnificent! I have a Dinky model from my childhood, and I always thought of it as looking as if the original aircraft had been machined from solid … rather like the good old Buccaneer!
Looks fantastic and much smarter paintwork than the one behind the hangars at the Yorkshire air museum!

Excellent! Hats on for a suitable scenario for this summer. . .
ReplyDeleteThat looks fabulous. The markings and missiles really make it.

ReplyDeleteI expect they missed the essential top-coat of Ronseal varnish.

ReplyDeleteI’m hoping to unleash it next month. But it will remain available for future bookings.

ReplyDeleteI expect the missiles will fall off after a bit of use but they had to be done!

ReplyDeleteAs it happens I too have a Dinky Javelin - I’d say it’s about 1/200 scale.
