I recently finished a second batch of 1/32 Brits for WW2 games in N.Africa. Like the first they are a mix of ancient Airfix, Matchbox and Timpo plastics. I’ve daubed them in my usual ‘toy soldier’ style, topped off with a coat of Ronseal light oak satin varnish.
Senior officers look on in despair.
The earlier batch can be seen in action near Sollum
here.
They look very good - the varnish works really well. I particularly like the guys cleaning the floor with mops. I see myself passing over to the darkside of 1/32 gaming very soon!

Mops?
ReplyDeleteI love the finish you get here with the Ronseal ...doing exactly what it says on the tin perhaps.
ReplyDelete...and I'm sure after checking for mines, the chaps will be mopping the battlefield.

ReplyDeleteBest to give in gracefully. You will be assimilated!

ReplyDeleteNo one likes a dusty minefield.

ReplyDeleteMost of the print on the tin refers to protecting interior wood - not outdoor plastic!
Yes ...but I'm sure there's something in the small print about being suitable for finishing 8th army bods ...there has to be?
ReplyDeleteFine figures, much pirated and cloned. You can still buy China copies in toy Soldier buckets.

ReplyDeleteWell none of them have woodworm as yet, so I guess it’s working!

ReplyDeleteThe copies I’ve seen are rather stunted - about 45mm. The originals are still the best!
